The annual tour of the Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill celebrates a long tradition of urban gardening. From its first garden tour in 1928 when the club was founded, members have opened their gardens on the third Thursday of May.

This year, we are excited to bring our hidden gardens to you. Seven enchanting gardens will be featured in a film created this May.

Our virtual tour will offer a new lens on the Hidden Gardens of Beacon Hill which will be fresh, beautiful and inspiring.

The tour still offers visitors a unique opportunity to see hidden landscapes and secret pathways behind the brick facades and shutters of historic townhouses.

The event is sponsored by the Beacon Hill Garden Club.

1-star Hidden Gardens Of Beacon Hill Tour 2009

Extremely disappointed by this year's tour. Long lines are to be expected, ard these gardens are in lovely little enclosed spaces, but there is very little attention to detail and REAL gardening. It was apparent to me that several owners just popped in plants purchased from the nursery (or their landscapers did) the day before, and one 'garden' featured PLASTIC grass. Not a real garden tour.

I was disappointment in the May 18, 2006 Hidden Gardens...the lines were extremely long and the gardens didn't have much...I guess you could blame it on all the rain the week before. I feel the donation for the tickets is a worthy cause to beautify, therefore no harm done. One day I hope to be living on Beacon Hill and will display my garden to all who ask!

5-star Hidden Gardens Of Beacon Hill Tour

I was fortunate to be visiting in the Boston area last week and participated in the garden tour. What a lovely event. I was amazed at the beauty of these 'tiny' gardens. The members of the Beacon Hill Garden Club are to be commended for the wonderful job they did. This was a huge event, and everyone I encountered was gracious, friendly, and eager to discuss gardening. I live in southwestern Indiana, but was raised in Massachusetts. I was visiting a sister in Mansfield MA.
